Meet the i {heart} papers' Design Teams

Tracy Schultz - Design Team Coordinator

Tracy Schultz lives in Hamburg, New York (a suburb of Buffalo) and is an IT specialist by day and crafter by night. If she's not making cards, learning how to scrapbook, or making a pair of earrings, then you can usually find her on the volleyball court or in her gardens. Gardening is just like crafting, only with a much larger canvas.

She's been married to her husband for three wonderful years and they have one pet cockatiel named Kiwi and one dozen angry fish.

Deb Felts - Challenge Coordinator

Deb Felts is a home-schooling mom of 15-year-old Matthew and wife of almost 25 years to Patrick, who retired from the USN in December 2007. We live in Fleming Island, Florida, just south of Jacksonville. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a crafter!  I began scrapbooking when Matthew was just a baby...when I was introduced to stamping a few years ago, I found that stamping merged my love of paper crafts with my experience using tints and shades in tole painting. I was immediately hooked!  I love coloring line art using just about any medium!  Prismas with Gamsol, watercoloring with an aquapainter and re-inkers, and recently Copic markers are some of my favorites.  I would like to think that my style is eclectic and classic.

Carolyn Mustopa - Newsletter Editor

Carolyn Mustopa blames her obsession with all things paper on Kate, who became her upline shortly after conducting a Stampin’ Up! workshop in Carolyn’s home in 2002. A serious addiction to stamping and papercrafting ensued, during which Carolyn gingerly, then voraciously, expanded her collection of “contraband” supplies to enormous proportions, to the point where Carolyn now needs to buy the adjoining apartment to accommodate said collection.

Carolyn, who lives in Brooklyn, NY (where Kate lived before she deserted it in favor of the greener pastures of New Jersey), is the proud mother of three magnificent grown children. When she is not in intensive therapy for her compulsive paper and stamp hoarding, Carolyn can often be found wandering around her apartment, searching hopelessly for an empty lateral surface on which to craft.

Cathleen Torina

Cathleen Torina lives in the Chicago suburbs and has been married for 25 years.  She has a wonderful daughter, Sara, who helps with all the behind-the-scenes work, from designing her blog to adjusting her camera settings.  Cathleen started making cards to send to Sara when she went away to college and, four years later, is still loving her hobby.  She enjoys making all different types of cards – from fun and whimsical to elegant and classy.

Gretchen Belknap

Gretchen Belknap lives with her husband and 4 children in a northern suburb of Minneapolis, MN. She is a stay at home mom and funds her paper crafting addiction (aka hobby) - by providing childcare for preschoolers during the school year. She was introduced to rubber stamping in 1997 and quickly turned her attention to making scrapbooks for her children. In 2007 a friend opened up the world of Splitcoast Stampers to me and she fell in love with card making all over again! Today it is a big part of her daily routine. Besides paper crafting, she enjoys reading, biking with her family and watching all of her kids play soccer (Yep, a real soccer mom!).

Lynn Mercurio

Lynn Mercurio lives in St. Louis county with her husband and their 4-legged child, Allie - a Golden Retriever.  Lynn works full-time during the day, but on any given night you'll find her in her craft space, happily working on a project or two.

Lynn began scrapbooking in 1997 but wasn't a serious crafter until 2005 when a co-worker introduced her to rubberstamping.  She immediately became hooked and has been stamping every since.  While she loves the craft of scrapbooking, since she discovered the instant gratification from the making cards, she hasn't done much scrapbooking lately. Lynn is a Copic Certified designer, although she says she continues to learn new technique and ways to enhance the use of Copics in her designs. In addition to serving on the i {heart} papers Design Team, Lynn also serves on the Design Team for Paper Craft Planet.

Megan Locklear

Megan Locklear ahas been stamping since she was a little girl, but has been stamping (you know, addicted, seriously) since she moved to a smaller town a little over a year ago.  A city girl at heart, she needed something to do to keep busy!  She has been married for a little over a year to her long time best friend...some things just work out like that.  They have two Boxers, Emmitt and Ellie, who are our babies.  She is also a Registered Dietitian (pays the bills) at a dialysis center.  Other than stamping, she enjoys cooking, wine tasting, beading, knitting, reading, and traveling.  She lives in northern Oklahoma, although is a Texan at heart.

Kendra Wietstock

Kendra Wietstock lives in Northern Indiana with her husband, Tim and two children, Megan and Matt. When she's not running the kids from activity to activity, you will find her at home designing papercraft projects full-time. She started scrapbooking 10 years ago when her daughter was just a baby and then 7 years ago, she discovered rubber stamping.   She loves designing projects for companies which she started doing in 2007 & also gives stamping classes in her home.

Lori Tecler

Lori Tecler...Just a few short years ago, she was someone who was convinced that she wasn't creative at all but that's changed a bit for sure!   She's been stamping and paper crafting for almost six years now after being introduced to the hobby by her best friend. She works full time during the day for a large public school system in the Washington, DC suburbs and spends her free time stamping, reading, enjoying time with family and friends.

Loretta Lock

Loretta Lock lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with her husband of 18 years and 4 children ranging in age from 14-8 and their 2 shelties.  Currently, she is a SAHM.  When not stamping, her and her family  foster rescue dogs.  In addition to stamping, she truly enjoys putting her hand to MANY crafts including, knitting, illustrating, quilting, needlework of all kinds.  She has a small tailoring business which usually gets busy in time for graduation and wedding season.

Loretta was introduced to stamping by a close friend several years ago to create projects for the teachers at our school for Christmas.  They wandered the aisles at a big box craft store (now out of business) without a clue where to begin.  A few years later, another friend introduced her to Stampin' Up! and she went from a little Rubbermaid container of supplies to now having her own studio.  What a happy transition!

Kate Baldwin - Owner

Kate Baldwin {hearts} papers...really she does and has spent hours wandering through aisles upon aisles of crafting supplies and tools.  Feeling the papers, running her fingers through bins of brads, buttons and eyelets, rubbing the luscious rolls of ribbonsYup, she's addicted to all things papercrafting.  Her love of crafting started as a child when her Gram taught her needlepoint, sewing, embroidery and how to make things like paper dolls.  Years later she spent seven years as a successful direct sales representative for a popular stamping company.  Although that experience helped mold her into the papercrafter she is today, it also made her realize that no single company can make all the products a crafter needs. This was the impetus for starting i {heart} papers and she is so glad she took that dive!
